You have your choice of five different trims for the 2024 Kia Seltos: S, SX, EX, X-Line and LX. Three colors - Fusion Black, Snow White Pearl and Steel Gray - are available in all the versions. Various other hues, such as Neptune Blue and Valais Green with a Fusion Black Roof, are only available for certain trims. What's New in This Year's Seltos?

There have been a few changes to the 2024 Kia Seltos, most noticeably, the addition of the new X-Line trim. A couple of other new perks include some styling changes to the interior and exterior, and the horsepower has increased to 195 for two of the trims.

Pricing and Which Seltos to Buy

There's not a substantial MSRP price difference between versions of the 2024 Kia Seltos. The starting costs for each of the trims are:

  • LX: $24,390
  • S: $24,990
  • EX: $25,790
  • X-Line: $28,690
  • SX: $29,990

Considering the only $5,600 price difference between the most affordable version (LX) and the most costly of the bunch (SX), the price may not be a huge factor, especially when you're taking their significant number of features into account.

Certain features, such as the sound-absorbing windshield glass, dual-level cargo floor and heated rear defroster, are standard on all the models. Other features, such as the solar control glass and heated front seats, are only standard or optional on some.

Engine, Transmission and Performance

Three trims - the S, EX and LX - have a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, 132 lb.-ft. of torque and 146 horsepower. The SX and X-Line have a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 195 lb.-ft. of torque and 195 horsepower.

Fuel Economy

The EX, S and LX each have a multiport gasoline injection, while the X-Line and SX have gasoline direct injection. Each takes unleaded regular fuel at 87 octane or higher, and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 gallons.

When it comes to miles per gallon, the S, LX and EX are similar to each other. The LX, with its all-wheel drive, gets 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway for a combined 29 mpg. Both the S and EX with all-wheel drive also get 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, for a combined 29 mpg, but when in front-wheel drive, they each get 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway for a combined 31 mpg. The X-Line and SX, when in all-wheel drive, get 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

There are a significant number of safety and driver-assistance features that come standard with the 2024 Kia Seltos. Some of the many include forward collision-avoidance assist with cyclist detection, vehicle stability management, downhill brake control, lane departure warning and rear occupant alert.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Kia vehicles, including the 2024 Kia Seltos, include a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. As with most warranties, it's whichever of the two occurs first. This program also includes a 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan, a 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty. Specifications

Let's discuss the dimensions of the 2024 Kia Seltos. The width and length, 70.9 inches and 172.6 inches, respectively, are the same for all trims, but the height varies with one model. The LX doesn't include roof rails, so its height is 63.4 inches. All the other versions with roof rails have a height of 64 inches.
